- Run your finger nail over every fold.
- Don’t fold with sweaty/greasy fingers!
- Pre-crease when necessary (when making any special folds).
- When viewing diagrams, always look at the next step so you know what your goal is.
- Learn the symbols and the folds/directions that they correspond to.
- Knowing the names of folds will make it easier to explain origami.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help, but do pay attention when you’re getting it.
